Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not unto your own understanding…Proverbs 3 verse 5 (NIV) Trust. Such a little word. So easily broken. Trust causes comfort. Enables us to believe the unbelievable.  To love.

Yet, we say we love God but we don’t trust Him. We don’t trust Him with our business. We don’t trust him for our husband. We don’t trust Him for our children. And the reason we don’t trust is because we don’t want to…

In ALL (emphasis added) your ways acknowledge Him and He SHALL (emphasis added) direct your path. Proverbs 3 verse 6

Surrender. We don’t like to surrender control, especially people in business. In this world, surrendering is a sign of weakness. God’s ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts are higher than ours (Isa 55 v 9). To surrender to God isn’t weakness, it’s strength! It takes humility to know you don’t know everything and you need help. It takes courage to ask and say “I don’t know what I’m doing! HELP!” It takes wisdom to know you don’t know so you need to go to the One Who does know!

How can we start learning to trust God? Surrender. Surrender to His Word. Meditating the Word of God is important for this reason. Cast your cares upon Him for He cares for you (1 Peter 5 v 17)! To know this for yourself, experience it for yourself, you need to meditate, mutter, and speak out the Word. Speak what is already true. Speak the life giving Words of God. As you begin to think upon what God has said, you must decide that whatever God tells you to do, you do it. Decide that whatever He says is so.

When you trust, you believe. In what areas do you not believe God in? Be honest. We all have areas that we’ve only given so much to the Lord. Examine yourself. Surrender.

Know this: God will allow circumstances to come about where you will be tested to either trust Him or not to trust Him. Not because He needs to test you, but so that you know what He knows- you can do all things through Christ who gives you strength! You are victorious in Jesus! All your prayers are answered “Yes!” and “Amen!”. The enemy wants to root that Word out of you because it will prove to the people around you that God is alive today and working in the lives of His people. Dare to trust God! Dare to believe! Dare to take a step of faith and declare “If Your Word says it, I believe it, and that settles it!” Dare to stand still in the storm and shout ” I will not be moved in Jesus name! I receive the promises my Father has made to me! I trust in His Word! I surrender to His Word! I surrender to His Will!” So be it!
